NEXT Financial Group President Barry Knight announced that Ami Shah, former Senior Associate in the law offices of Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker, LLP, has joined NEXT Financial Group as General Counsel.
Knight expressed his enthusiasm noting, “all of us at NEXT are excited to have Ami as part of our team.” Shah was no stranger to NEXT Financial Group and has served as outside counsel to the group over the past five years. “Her knowledge, intelligence and work ethic are all extraordinary and she has proven to work extremely effectively with both the members of our leadership team and with the industry regulatory agencies with whom we interact.”
Despite her previous interactions with NEXT Financial Group Shah said, “I am truly honored to receive this wonderful opportunity with NEXT.”Shah has vast experience in litigation and has participated in all phases of securities litigation in federal and state courts and FINRA arbitration proceedings.
NEXT Financial Group has nearly tripled its compliance department over the past two years and has remained fully committed to FINRA policies.
