Under his direction, NEXT Financial Group has won the Broker/Dealer of the Year Award for seven years by Investment Advisor Magazine. The Houston-based broker/dealer company has focused on achieving success for its representatives. D’Angelo believes that “NEXT was built on the premise that reps would have voice, value, and vision.” ** Each year investment Advisor magazine conducts a poll asking its representative readers to rate how well their broker/dealer is meeting their needs in key areas. Today NEXT Financial Group is a fast-growing broker/dealer company, and at year-end 2007, it had 882 independent-contractor advisors and 110 home-office employees. D’Angelo says the firm has doubled its gross dealer concessions ($114 million in 2007) in two years.
